Colorful Birthday Bash

It's  Just Us Girls Saturday color challenge today but before I get started let me say Happy Birthday to our sweet Maria! Her birthday is coming up early this next week so we wanted to wish her a happy birthday from the JUGS team!  Hope you have a FABULOUS day Maria!

SO - on to our color challenge - think you can handle these colors? Andrea is our hostess this week and she has cooked up a great color set for you.

I decided to make some of my own designer paper by using one of Lauren Meader's BG stamp sets from My Time Made Easy. This is the Argyle Amazement set and I used the floral stamps to create a fun BG with these colors.

Isn't that BG fun? I love that Lauren included some floral pieces with this set - it's SO versatile. The rest of the card came together quite easily - I layered some scalloped punched edges - added a strip of Enchanted Evening ribbon then worked on my focal image.

For this image I used the Labels10 stamp from Waltzingmouse Stamps and combined it with a sentiment from the Birthday Wishes Borders and Centers from JustRite. I cut out the ivory layer then cut the next sized nestie green layer (Simply Chartreuse) as well. It JUST fit across the card this way.

I had these super Prima fun flowers that just happened to go along with the colors this week.  (YAY) Does ANYONE know where to get chunky glitter like this that can be applied to flowers?

Final touch - the inside of the card. A simple sentiment from JustRite and a strip of the BG paper. Just finishes off the card nicely.

SO.... Happy Birthday again Maria. Meanwhile - please join us at Just Us Girls for a fun summer color challenge. The rest of the DT girls have some eye candy for you as well (check my sidebar -->)

Thanks for stopping by - have a delightful weekend - wedding countdown 2 WEEKS from today!!

So beautiful! I love that background and those flowers are awesome! How did you "punch" those large scallops? Is that the MFT die?

Thanks so much for the sweet birthday wishes makes me smile!

I have some of those Prima flowers snd had wondered about the glitter. Doodlebug has some chunky glitter by the name of Sugar Coating and MS has glitter she calls chunky. Haven't found any locally but I'm still looking. May have to break down & order online!
Love the color combo - used the same from a ribbon I bought at Enchanted Cottage here in NC. It's a Magnolia - Tilda with Peaches - & it's still one of my favorites that I've made. Yours quickly caught my eye - Love It.

Wow Pam, I love your background. You use the Labels Ten to make the prettiest cards so I had to order them. Those flowers are so perfect on your card and I love the chunky glitter -- didn't we see it at that scrapbook store by your house? You created a gorgeous card for this color challenge.
