Welcome 2011 with the Shabby Tea Room

It's time for a new challenge from the Shabby Tea Room. Today's challenge is to welcome in the year 2011 by using 11 elements on your card.

I admit - I got carried away and I welcomed in the new year - TWICE! LOL If you count all the layers and embellies on my card there are 22!!

I used this week's Mojo Monday sketch but I did have to move the Kangi symbol to the other side of the card so I didn't cover up the Chinese lantern.

This card features all new digital paper from My Time Made Easy created by the very talented Kristin. It's part of the Plum Pretties set and it's just beautiful. I also used some stamps from the So Fortunate stamp set as well.

I also whipped up a super fast gift box also from My Time Made Easy to go with my card using some of the same papers. This template is called So Fortunate and it's super easy but really fun. I truly put this template together in about 20 minutes total.

The inside of my card features stamps from the beautiful new MTME stamp set called So Fortunate designed by Catherine Doucette.

The template was sized to 85% of original size and perfectly holds this little tub of body butter. Just a little birthday something for a co-worker.

Final look at the card and the template. BIG thanks to the Shabby Tea Room for allowing me to step in as a Guest Designer this week.

Can't wait to see what you create.

I'll have to pop back in tomorrow to link up supplies that I used. I go back to work tomorrow and have a crazy week ahead, packing up my son who is moving to Dallas.

Happy new year hugs and smiles.

JustRite Fall Colors

I've been super busy with work and haven't had as much time to play along with some of my favorite challenges lately. I was happy that I found a few minutes of time to make this fall card for the JustRite Friday challenge.

I used the beautiful watering can image from Autumn Blessings Borders and Centers set coupled with the  Joyful Hearts Borders and Centers sentiment.

I colored up the image with my copics then cut it out with a oval nestie. I recently came across my stipple brush when cleaning my stampin' studio so I did some stippling on the oval behind the image and on the golden layer of the card after it was run through the woodgrain PTI embossing plate. Used my MS punch on the Terracotta Tile layer. Added a few golden rhinestones to the sentiment square (cause I love a little bling). I finished it all off with a piece of some super fun fiber instead of ribbon. I also discovered that my colors work nicely with the Shabby Tea Room this week too. Not often I get to combine TWO challenges any more :-)

For the inside of my card I used a sentiment from the Autumn Blessings set. Just in time for the upcoming fall holidays! Thanks to JustRite for the inspiration and motivation.

And thanks to all of my cyber friends and followers for stopping by. I hope your fall is filled with abundant blessings and that you enjoy the days of Autumn.

Hugs n smiles.
