Birthday Blossom Card

Hi gals - I made a card for this week's JustRite Friday challenge #26.  The challenge was to make a shaped card using nestabilities and it had to be 4" or smaller.

Here's my blossom card.

I started with the largest blossom nestie (3-3/4") and cut from purple CS. I then stamped one of the borders from JustRite's Plant a Little Love set onto white CS. Cut another purple layer from scalloped circle nestie. Stamped the floral image from the Plant a Little Love - colored it and the cut it out with plain circle Nestie and sponged a little bit of So Saffron ink.

I stamped and colored a second image then cut it out and popped it up on dimensionals. A little bit of stickles in the center of the flower for some shine! Now comes the fun part... The two layers of the card are put together with a brad and the card "swivels" open. I used the same stamped border on the inside and stamped one of the new birthday sentiments from Birthday Centers Round.

My sweet friend Hanne from the Netherlands shared this swivel technique with me - she first saw it in a Holiday Cards magazine from a stamper named AJ Otto. SO.... AJ thanks for the cool idea!!

Have a great week, all. Countdown to the wedding... 20 days!
Hugs n Smiles.

This is gorgeous Pam. I like all the layers and that you put the border on the inside too.

Pam this is beautiful... And the swivel idea is great, too. I love the lavender, purple, green and a bit yellow combo. Very pretty
