Bouncing Baby Boutique

Hi gals,
I'm back with another project featuring Shop Around from My Time Made Easy.  You will never run out of ideas for ways to use this amazing template. Today I wanted to share a really quick and easy way to put together one of these "shops" so I made a Bouncing Baby Boutique and I called it "Just a Lil' Something". *giggle*

I started with the marvelous new digital paper called Simply Sensational Shoppes. Sara has whipped up some totally awesome - ready to go store fronts for you to coordinate with this template. All I did was layer in some digital pattern papers (Taylor's Teeth © Nomad's Teal Leaf  star paper and Ga Ga for Gingham) and then I "colored" my digital store elements in Photoshop. I printed out two copies of my finished project on white cardstock. I adhered the first layer right onto my yellow cardstock base then I cut out the elements from the 2nd copy and popped them up for additional depth and dimension.

Here's what my one sheet of cardstock looked like when I printed it out. You can even see the dotted lines that Sara included so you know just where to cut.

Here's a close up of the front boutique window. You could easily print out the Shoppe front and color with copics or pencils or watercolors if you don't know how to use photo editing software so don't be intimidated.

and the (side) entrance to the boutique...

The back of the boutique features a big window and I added digital flowers to the flower box.

And here's the other side of the boutique.

This went together really quickly even with the digital coloring I did. To create some texture for the roof I used my Scor-Pal to create a diagonal design.

Finally - the roomy inside.

Underneath the mini shampoo and baby wash are the baby powder, lotion and 4 onesies all rolled up. I have not yet stamped the onesies until I know who this gift set will be for but it's great to have a roomy and adorable way to package up a special gift.

Finally I used the Homemade Card and Envelope Cut file to create a baby shower invitation to coordinate with the gift set.

And finally here's the complete gift set and invite.

CUTE for sure - I am not into the digital stuff but can see some of my patterned paper might get used for a similar project next time a baby is due in our neighbourhood. Thanks for sharing.
