A Spot of Tea anyone? MTME release

Well girls how are you liking the new release from Lauren at My Time Made Easy? Isn't this month full of great templates, stamps and papers AND ideas? My mom was an avid tea drinker so I was tickled with this new Tea Tabbed template to make a box to hold tea bags. Wish mom was still with me 'cause I would have made her one for sure.

I did choose a color scheme with someone specific in mind.

I started with Sara's new digital paper called "Tea Time" - I loved the dark blue and pink color combo. Perfect for my recipient! Once I chose my digi paper I selected a complimentary CS from Couture Cardstock (it's so nice that the digi papers match these CS colors so nicely). Then it was just a matter of "prettifying it". Starting off - here's the front - see that cool "tab" cut out - perfectly sized to fit a standard tea bag!

I added an oval sentiment on the front using one of the coordinating stamp sets called "A Spot of Tea". It sold out quickly but is expected back in stock in just a few days. It's filled with 20 luscious images. I actually cut apart my 3 roses so I could place them where I wanted them as accents. LOVE them and, of course, they go so perfectly with the roses in the paper (thanks Sara!). I also added a pretty satin flower and some bold blue pearl accents.

For the top of the box I created the tea cup with the new CUT FILE also called "A Spot of Tea" - I resized it easily with my Cricut then decorated the tea cup mat layers with used the stamp set again.

This box is roomy enough for a full box of tea bags plus some - I did not have a full box but you can see how generously sized it is...

Finally, my card. I used the new CUT FILE again and, following Lauren's video found here, I made a tea cup card. I made mine small since I only need to say a few words on the inside but what a CLEVER and ADORABLE template for a tea cup shaped card.  I decorated with A Spot of Tea again. GREAT stamp set.

Now isn't that a pretty way to store your favorite teas?? There is also a version of this file that does not have the cut out tab so it's a beautiful gift box instead. Lauren thinks of everything!!

Be sure to check out Lauren and Catherine who are posting ideas all week as well.

Have a great day!
Hugs n smiles.

BEAUTIFUL COMBO!!! Love the colors and design Pam!!! Hugs ~S~

PS: the second layer on my box was trimmed about 1/2" smaller and I traced the opening with a pencil...next I used some smaller scissors and trimmed it to my liking. That's it!!! Hope this helps???
