Travelin' Man and MTME

I have two posts today - For the JUGS post please click here.

Wow this week has flown by so fast.  Have you been loving everything new from Lauren and My Time Made Easy? Well I have one final quick post for you featuring the ever so clever template called Boxed Lunch. I think the DT girls have been showing it off quite well and I love that it's fashioned after one of those good old metal ones BUT when I first saw the template "SUITCASE" popped into my brain...

I made this out of lovely dark blue Silent Night CS from Couture Cardstock and the light blue CS is actually leather paper from PaperTemptress (to look like a leather suitcase).  Once my suitcase was assembled I just had to decorate it like one of those old fashioned cases covered with stickers of all sorts. The LSS was closed but Target has this cute little selection that was just what I needed.

Here you can also see the hardware I chose to use for the handles. This template comes with a great set of paper handles so you do not have to use metal but I wanted to use some of the hardware buckles I had on hand.  Do you see that cute tag? I cut out one of the new All Tied Up circle tags and topped it with a 3D passport.  I plan to write the recipient's name on the front but I just haven't done that yet. The tag is attached to the suitcase (like a luggage tag) with one of those old fashioned chains I remember from growing up.

This box would be a perfect gift for someone off to college but perhaps taking a trip first.  Here's what's in the box...

There are small items for the airplane trip including Airborne, a NutriGrain bar, a Sweet n Salty snack bar and a small package of hand wipes. I included a tiny travel tube of sunscreen so there are no excuses (LOL) once arriving at the final destination and a small Tide stick to remain stain free! The "REAL" gift in the box is a travel gift card which is packaged up in this cute little new file from MTME called Love Note.

I added the 3D "jet setter" embellishment and a few remaining stickers.  This new love note is SO cute and it holds a gift card perfectly. (The iTunes card is a "place holder" for the purpose of the photo since I don't have the travel card yet.)

I stamped a fun sentiment on the inside as a reminder to keep looking forward - the senti says "Only look back if is makes you smile..." It's new this month and I LOVE it.

One final peek at the back of the box... was this "original" the perfect sticker or what?? :-)

A final look at the set...

I hope this gift will make someone smile... I also hope that you have seen yet another way that this amazingly fun new template can be used for a creative gift packing :-) I'd love to hear your feedback - have you liked the new releases? Do you have a favorite new stamp set or template this month?

Thanks for stopping by - be sure to visit the rest of the team. Also please stop by and say a fond farewell to the lovely Mona as she has decided to step down from the MTME design team. I will miss her greatly - but we chat frequently so I know we'll stay in touch. (HUGS Mona!)

Awe - Thanks again Pam for the sweet words :) I am really going to miss you too! I am going to be packing my suitcase soon, traveling to Chicago to see you :) but it will be a little bigger than this darling MTME suitcase template that you have created! I love all those traveling themed embellishments you've added! BIG Hugs :)
