Flowers and Stars - JUGS 33

Good Morning ladies! I have a real treat for you with today's Just Us Girls challenge. It's a color challenge brought to you by the creative and talented Lisa Kind. I think she's getting us in the mood for the upcoming Memorial Day holiday. :-)

Isn't this a great color palette? LOVE IT! I also love that Kristin made our graphic for us with stars this week :-) because that's what came to mind for MY project - but more about that in a minute.

As some of you know, I have had friends visiting from The Netherlands. In fact, my sweet friend Hanne helped me out last week with the JUGS technique challenge. Well, this week for JUGS we both took some time together in my stampin studio to make cards. I LOVE how unique and different our two cards are and I loved actually getting to do some stamping together. THANKS, Hanne!

Hanne had fun working with some new lace we found for a really, really good price and her new MS punch. Her card uses the sweet Out On A Limb set from PTI. I love those little flower punches she used.

My card is completely different - I made this for my "second son" (my son's best friend for 13 years) who is currently serving in Afghanistan. I needed it to be fairly simple, not a lot of layers and no buttons or embellies that could hold up the delivery of the card. The sentiment and stars I used are from Everyday Classics set from PTI.

Off to a super fun weekend and a stampin' workshop down in Indiana! I also get a chance to meet a couple of my cyber stamping friends for real!! I'll post all about it after we're home.

Thanks for stopping by - please visit our two special designers this month - LeAnne Pugliese and Teresa Kline and check out their projects for JUGS. Of course I would also love for you to visit the rest of Just Us Girls team - (in my sidebar!) Have a great weekend and please come play along with Just Us Girls.

Hugs n smiles.

Hanne needs to start blogging! Help her with that, Pam! She did a fabulous job this week and last! Love it! And yours is so patriotic and will be well-received by your son's friend! What a nice gesture! Have a fun weekend and report back soon!

Great job girls. Your cards are gorgeous. Love those delicate little blossoms against the lace on Hanne's card and love how effective all those stars on your card are Pam. Your "son" is going to be thrilled.
