JUGS #23 Sketch Challenge & Blog Candy

Oh my goodness - I cannot believe how fast time is flying by. It's Saturday again and time for another challenge from Just Us Girls - this week we have a sketch challenge for you from our hostess Dana. Before we get into the challenge I want to introduce you to our newest Featured Designer for the month of March - Stephanie Kraft! If you are a JUGS follower you know that Stephanie is a regular participant and she does amazing and wonderful work. I KNOW you will be inspired by her projects so please stop by and leave her a little JUGS Love.... *giggle*

We ALSO have a sponsor this week - Dawn Woleslagle of WPlus9 Design Studio has come to play with Just Us Girls!! You must check out her brand new stamps - there are some fun, fun, fun and unique stamps available in the store and the quality is top notch. Her Design Team is playing along with us too so be sure to stop by and visit them as well. AND we also have some blog candy to offer up this week as well but you'll have to read to the end to get the details :-)

Now let's get started - first off here's the sketch for the Just Us Girls challenge this week.

And here's my card:
I got the pleasure of playing with this new set of stamps called Just a Note. Oh my goodness I totally LOVE it. We have a lot of music lovers and musicians in my family so this set will be SO perfect for lots of choices. I chose to make a thank you card (since I really needed one) this week but here are the sentiments that merge with the stamp "A Note" giving you LOTS of options.
of thanks
of appreciation
of encouragemnt
of congratulations
of love
Then there are lots of musical elements as well. I can't wait to play some more. THANK YOU to Dawn for this opportunity :-) and to Dana for arranging this.

Here's a close up of the sentiment part of the card. These stamps are very high quality and they stamp crisp and clean and sharp.

This sketch threw me for a bit until I flipped it - then it just kind of "flowed" - I stamped some of the musical elements and dabbed them with some Crystal Effects for a 3D shiny look - they look really nice in person but are hard to photograph. Now that über cool polka dotted Labels Nine stamp around the sentiment? That's from Gina K Designs - it was created by Nina Brackett and it's just perfect with this set!! Ohhh la la - I'm doing the happy dance for sure.  The rest of the card uses punches, nesties, gingham ribbon and some tiny silver beads. It's my attempt at CAS  *LOL*

Now, please pop over to the rest of the Just Us Girls team then please come play along with us this week and show us what you can do with this sketch! Be sure to link up your project as instructed.

OK I promised more details about Dawn's blog candy. Dawn is offering one lucky winner TWO stamp sets of the winner's choice. We will draw one random winner from all of the participants so be sure to play along with the sketch and then post your creation to the Inlinkz linky list on the JUGS blog.
Thanks for stopping by and for supporting Just Us Girls!
Hugs n Smiles,
