In Memory of Ethan Weiman

Today's post comes with great sadness. My fellow design team member, Alicia Weiman, lost her 4-year old son, Ethan, to neuroblastoma cancer. He's been battling this deadly disease for 2 years now. Sadly, after his long battle Ethan was called home to Heaven on Friday, June 12.

Alicia's journal entry on Caring Bridge says that "Heaven gained the greatest little boy ever" and we know that is true. A private service is being held for Ethan on Monday in Illinois. As fellow Design Team members we all want to contribute to the family in some way. After brainstorming the best way to collect donations from the Design Team members and others who may want to contribute, we thought it might be best to use PayPal. Kristin Beuter (another one of our Design Team members) has set up a donation button in honor of the Weiman family and I have loaded it in my right side bar at the very top.

The plan is to use any money contributed to pay for balloons (Ethan LOVED getting balloons so at the family's request, this is in lieu of flowers etc.) and a Schwann's gift card, and to give the family any remaining balance. We hope they can use the money to help pay final expenses, any medical bills they are still paying on, or they can donate to their favorite charity in Ethan's name etc.

If you would like to help the Weiman family in any way, please use the PayPal Donation button in my right sidebar.

Finally, please keep the Weimans in your prayers. I can't even imagine dealing with a loss as great as theirs. Count your blessings and hug the ones you love.
