StampTV - another tutorial was posted today by Gina K. (By the way - I was SO excited - my card for the Stamp TV Kissing Technique Challenge (posted yesterday on my blog) was randomly chosen as the winner this week! Woo hoo! I win a Gina K stamp set! Can we say grate-ful! Meanwhile, this week's technique challenge was to create a card using the OMS and colored pencil coloring technique. I learned this technique on the stampin' cruise in October and it is one of my favorites. I think that Gina K said it best at the end of her tutorial - you feel like an artist when you are done!
I am in love with the Year of Flowers set and turn to it again and again. I needed a very special thank you card and thought nothing's more beautiful than roses as a way so say thanks. SO I got out my Koh-i-noor pencils, my OMS, my blender stumps and got to work. Since the images were fairly large and certainly dominate the card I chose a very simple layout with some complimentary colors (Summer Sunrise and Berry Sorbet from PTI) and simple words from two different Gina K sets (I love how I can mix and match the sentiments! YES!) I could not tie a bow tonight to save my soul so I used a folded bow instead. Had the perfect button to finish it all off :-) Coloring with OMS and pencils or with my copics is total relaxation for me!
