Stampin Cruise and a BD Rose for Gina K

For those of you who don't know - I was blessed to be able to go on the Stampin' Cruise to the Western Caribbean in October where I met three AMAZING women - Nichole Heady from Papertry Ink, Gina Krupsky from Gina K Designs and Emily aka Emmabella from Stampin' Bella. That cruise and those women changed my stampin' life! I also met an entire community of other women who share my passion for stamping and papercrafting. This picture is my BF Barbara and the AMAZING goodie bag we each received from the 3 companies! Can you say WOW?!?

I've been so focused on the PTI challenges that I've not posted some of the work with my other stamp sets. Gina K is one special lady and she recently celebrated a birthday - since she just lost her dad we were asked to send cards to Gina for her BD. This is the card I made for Gina using A Year of Flowers stamp set. I used my colored pencils and OMS to color the rose - I have not yet purchased Copic markers although they are near the top of my list. :-)

The ribbon and card stock are from PTI and so are the birthday words. The words are on clear, flexible material so you can curve them on your acrylic block which is what I did here to make them sort of follow the curve of the oval. (I didn't get it perfect but I will, with practice.)

Love your creations, and believe it or not, right before we were about to leave the boat terminal, I asked one more time and just happened to ask the 'right' person. It was in someone's office at the terminal...no idea why I didn't get a phone call, since the sticker was still on the suitcase, BUT I did get it back!!! Amazing, huh? Hope you are doing well!! Lisa
