Baby It's COLD Outside

Oooh yeah - it really is - 18º today, Friday, as I write this post and we should see our first snow of the season by tomorrow morning.  So appropriate for my card for today's Just Us Girls challenge. It's a sketch challenge and Alicia has come up with a good one.

Now isn't that just adorable???

So here's my take on it - I was lucky to be able to play with the new PTI Banner stamps and dies - borrowed from a friend! Super fun set but timely for this challenge.

I cut out the two layers of the dies I wanted to use - I chose the rounded ones since they were big enough to use my letters cut with my cricut. The triangle banners were a bit smaller. I stamped and embossed the light blue layer with several of the different stamp patterns. Then adhered the letters on top. Added the various tops to each pennant. SO cute! Sentiment is from PTI.

I added a few embellishments - snowflakes as my banner "ties" and rhinestones in the centers of the snowflakes on my CB background.

Here's the inside too - simple yet sweet. This will go to one of my California friends when it's cold again like this in January - always makes me ask myself WHY did I move here????

Please give a WARM welcome to our new Featured Designer for December - the very talented and funny Elise Durenberger (aka Mamacow!). Please stop by her blog and check out her project :-)

And here's the rest of the team - we LOVE all of our JUGS participants and really, sincerely thank you for playing along with us and making us so successful! Can't wait to see what YOU do with our sketch.
