YeeHaw - Wild Wild West

Howdy gals. Are y'all ready for a Just Us Girls challenge? This week we're supporting our DT member Alicia in her efforts to organize a RODEO that will raise funds for Neuroblastoma research. As such we are having a Wild Wild West theme challenge for y'all.

We have a special Guest Designer this week - the incredibly talented artist, Theresa Momber . I asked Theresa to join us because she designed an amazing Out West stamp set for Gina K.  She agreed and she also generously offered to give away one of the stamp sets to one lucky participant!! SO rustle up some wild west mojo and come play along with JUGS.

Here's my Wild West card close up

I love being able to create a scene with Theresa's stamps - this one was actually a combination of her Out West set and her Happy Camper set (I used the mountains from that one).  I grew up in So Calif and spent many a family vacation crossing the desert to get where ever we were going. We almost always had mountains in the distance so that's what I was after.

I planned on making some "barbed wire" for my card but didn't have the right wire so I popped up a couple of the elements instead (boots and skull). When I pop up an image like this I always stamp and color one on the main layer first.

For the inside I used a sentiment from Happy Camper - it's one of the ways I try to live my life - full of adventure and not always following a prescribed path...

What a lovely scene you created, Pam! You had some great inspiration from your past I see! All the elements work so well together! And the sentiment is so inspiring as well! Great job with the theme!

And I hope you have a very Happy Birthday on Monday! Too bad you have to spend it at work with all those grumpy returning teachers! Hahaha!!! I know that's what I'll be like in a couple of weeks! Enjoy your day! :-)
