Jugs Sketch Time

Hi girls - just a quick post - I'm STILL not caught up since the wedding. It's JUGS Sketch time and Kathryn is our hostess with a great sketch for you this week.

I think my mojo is still dancing at the wedding and not ready to come back and play - I have not stamped in a while and was a bit slow to recover so you'll see that although I included all the components of the sketch into my card I did not put them in the same layout - OOPS.

I chose to make a quick birthday card in a bright color for a friend that loves summer brights! I used the Magnolia watering can, labels 10 stamp from Waltzing Mouse and sentiment from My Time Made Easy.

The rest is self explanatory - some DP, punches, ribbon, rhinestones and I also punched the edge of my 5 x 7 card (sometimes I want a bigger card to write more in) with a hole punch since I didn't have enough pearls or rhinestones to put in the scallops. I liked how it turned out.

Here's my simple inside -ready to write a long note to a special friend...

SO - come play along with JUGS this week and do visit the JUGS DT - the girls are doing a great job. (see my sidecar)

We welcome Jo Westfoot as our August Featured Designer - she's from Australia and has some fun projects for you - we also welcome back the lovely Kristin Bueter!! Stop by and leave a little love.

Have a great weekend and thanks to all who left sweet comments about my daughter's wedding and the post I did for that with a few pics.

Hugs n smiles,
Pam

I think this turned out absolutely adorable! I don't think it's a problem changing up the elements of the sketch like you did...the sketch after all is really a jumping off point. Love the rustic watering can you colored so beautifully, and the pretty bow embellishment. The scalloped borders are a lovely addition as well!

Oh, MY goodness! Couldn't help but notice YOUR BEAUTIFUL DAUGHTER!!! {Heavens! What a lovely bride!} Congratulations! WHO'D blame your mojo for lingering in wedded bliss, but clearly, it returned for you to make that super card! I'm do bad with the birthday greetings - they only get made when there's NO time and definitely NO mojo! I'm definitely inspired by your work AND this great sketch! Thanks for the inspiration!
