Crafty Thanks - JUGS 27

Good morning girls - it's the first Saturday of the month and time for another Just Us Girls challenge - I can't believe we've been at it for more than 6 months! Today our hostess is the very talented Kristin Bueter and she's got a great sketch for you.
Doesn't this look like fun?? Well I surely hope you play along with us this week. Here's my take on the sketch.

I made this little thank you card for a crafty friend who sent me this fabulous stamp set called Studio Design from PTI. If you have a crafter in your life you need/want this set. SO - THANK YOU to my crafty friend, Mona, for the generous gift! I LOVE it - I am sure I will be turning to this over and over.  I inked up the buttons with blush, lavendar and moss and made my own BG paper on vanilla CS. Cut it apart and matted with matching CS colors. The button jar was super fun to color with Copics.

I combined a couple of different spellbinders dies for the focal image - added a bow, button and tiny tag. I also added some tiny buttons at the uplifts of the scalloped edges to keep with the theme. Here's the inside:
The sentiment that says Hoarding = bad, Crafting = good made me laugh out loud. I would NEVER hoard my buttons or ribbon or Primas or pearls. LOL

Pop over to see our April Featured Designer, Sue Lelli, as she joins us today for her first challenge with us - we're excited to have Sue joining the ranks for the month of April. Leave her a little comment if you can please :-) They mean so much.

The rest of the DT (in my side bar) has some scrumptious eye candy for you. Be sure you stop by and see Tracey  as this will be Tracey's last JUGS challenge. She is stepping down to spend more time with her family - totally understandable. Tracey, we'll miss you on JUGS but, as one DT gal put it, Once a JUG always a JUG - LOL! Thank you for ALL your wonderful creations and inspirations girlfriend!! *XO

We will be having a special Guest Designer in May while we begin our quest to find a new girl to join Just Us Girls so keep your eyes peeled for that announcement. Thanks for all the loyal followers and regular players - we LOVE getting inspiration from all of you, too.

Have a great weekend and a blessed Easter.
Hugs n smiles,

What a great gal that Mona is, huh? And you must have done something equally great for her! I have this set, too, and it's still not inked up! Yours is so fab....love the homemade dp! Your color choice is wonderful (love the actual jar of matching buttons, too!)! And the inside is just as great...I have to admit, I hoard, but I'm getting much better at using rather than hoarding! Great job with the sketch! Happy Easter, girlfriend!

I totally dig that you made your jar of buttons match the one on you card :). Beautifully done Pam, as always. From those beautiful frilly scallops and the buttons to trim the bottom, to the self made DP, and the decorated inside...just fantastic!!!
