Stampin' Gift Set - JUGS26

Well good morning girls - it's the 4th Saturday of the month and we are on Just Us Girls Challenge #26 - WOW that's 1/2 of a year that we've been around - happy 1/2 birthday to us! LOL

Today we're back with another template challenge from the beautiful and talented Mona, our hostess of the week. As you know, Lauren Meader, owner of My Time Made Easy, has been sponsoring our template challenges and this week we are sneak peeking a brand new template that will be available for download and purchase on April 1 and that's no foolin'!
This newest template is called Slip Cover and, although it's designed to be a pretty and elegant box to hold a set of cards, it can be used in so many other ways. Here's a look at my Slip Cover.

I used the beautiful Sea Foam Couture Cardstock as my base and layered the bottom part with one of the new upcoming MTME digi papers - it's one of my favorites! (Hint - it's the plaid and you will LOVE it!!). I used the Fanciful Flourishes stamp set to create my patterned paper in aqua and blush and matted it with a blush layer that I embossed first. I also embossed my patterned layer with swiss dots for a bit of texture.

Here's the fun part - This nicely sized box will hold between 4 and 6 standard A2 cards (depending on ribbons and embellishments) BUT I decided it would make an adorable gift set for a stampin' friend so I put together a few items that I know she'll love.

A couple of spools of ribbon, a couple of packs of pastel floral pearls and some beautiful Primas - I used a trendy tube for the flowers - it was a wee bit too tall so I just cut it down with my scissors and it was a perfect fit.

Here you can see the details of the top layer - pearls were added to the flowers' centers and I made a sweet butterfly accent from Lauren's All A Flutter stamp set. I tied on a simple organdy ribbon and bow and accented the center with a mini prima rose. The tag features a WONDERFUL new sentiment from a brand new set from MTME also releasing on April 1. You will LOVE these sentiments.

The sentiment nestles so perfectly inside Labels 4 nestie - a bit of pink sponging and the whole tag is popped up with dimensionals. You get a closer look at that new paper too *wink*!

So - let's see what YOU can do with a template this week. Remember Lauren offers a free template called Cutesy Cover so you can try a My Time Made Easy template as well. When I tried my first template I was a little skeptical but the response from my friends and family has been over whelming - it just makes any cute little gift SO much more special, just like this one.

Hop on by to see our Featured Designer Stephanie Kraft - I just LOVE, LOVE, LOVE her style and then on to the rest of the Just Us Girls Design Team (see my sidebar -->). Finally, click over to the JUGS blog and leave us a link to your project and you just might be our next Chic of the Week!

Thanks for stopping - have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs n smiles,
