Just Us Girls #20 - Split Negative!

Good Saturday Morning! It's time for Just Us Girls again. This week your JUGS technique challenge is to use Split Negative - there is an excellent video on StampTV and you can also find a tutorial HERE on SCS.

Here's my take on the challenge.

I used some beautiful aqua/turquoise embossing powder I recently acquired on one half - and, just lucky for me,  it exactly matched SU!'s Cool Caribbean paper (discontinued but I still have some). I used white EP on the Cool Caribbean.  I used the SU! Big Blossom stamp (it's a BG stamp so it's BIG) and just made a simple card. Combined it all with some SU! Lovely Lilac paper as my accent color - and a few rhinestones for BLING! I struggled with where to put the bow or if I should use it at all. I think the card could have worked without it but I decided to use it after all. I'm so low on thank you cards I went with an oldie but goodie sentiment also from SU! as well.

I can't wait to see what you come up with. Be sure to link your project with our new inlinkz (instead of Mr. Linky) om the JUGS blog. I hope you enjoy this fun and unique challenge. Thanks for playing along.

Please visit our February Featured Designer, Iwona Palamountain, to see what she came up with then pop over to the rest of the DT and get some additional inspiration before you get stampin.

Hugs n smiles,

Pam - what a FUN CUTE card! it's clean and simple, I just love it. Great choice for this technique to use paper to do your split negative instead of a stamped image -- you smart cookie you. Love it!
