JUGS19 - Pretty in Pink

Good morning! Just Us Girls is bringing you another sketch challenge today thanks to this week's hostess, Tracey. Don't you just LOVE a good sketch? Really gets the juices flowing. Here's the sketch:

And here is my card - I call it Pretty In Pink - be prepared - it's BRIGHT. I think I have been affected by the dreary midwest winter blahs. :-)

Super sketch Tracey! This came together pretty quickly (of course this was card #2 - I didn't like my first one). I am really low on thank you cards and I have someone who LOVES pink so this one is for her :-)  I used some of my favorite PTI papers and stamps - I LOVE the new Signature Greetings and haven't gotten to ink them as much as I would like. I added a pretty fabric flower that matched the Raspberry Fizz perfectly, some pearls and lots of pink rhinestone bling on the flowers and the butterflies. The butterflies are from My Time Made Easy - I'm amazed at how often I use these adorable little accents. I layered the half butterfly to give it dimension and lifted the wings on the full b-fly. A touch of copics for color and I was done. Here's another look:

Isn't it interesting - and please tell me if you've ever done this - I make a card - finish it - photograph it THEN realize I should have done something differently...  Now that I see this photograph I realize I should have "grounded" my little half butterfly - a branch, flower, etc - it's just kind of out there - but it's too late to re-photo and get this posted so I'll just remember that for next time. LOL

I want to be sure that you stop by to see our Featured Designer for February, Iwona Palamountain (a.k.a. Chupa). Chupa does amazing work and we are delighted to welcome her to our team this month. Congratulations, Chupa - we look forward to some great creations from you. The rest of the Design Team members (in my side bar) have some super sweet eye candy for you as well. Please stop by and leave some love :-)

Now it's your turn to get inky and play along with Just Us Girls - go to our web site and post your creation to our NEW service. Instead of Mr. Linky (which has been going missing on us a fair amount recently) we are trying InLinkz. You should see a box to be able to submit a DIRECT LINK to your post as always but you also have the ability to delete your entry if you make a mistake and need to repost. We'll see how it works this week. We'd love your feedback as well. You can always email us from the JUGS blog (link is on left sidebar).

Thanks for stopping by and for playing along with Just Us Girls.  We're so glad to see a regular group of participants each week. Your creations amaze and inspire US and we are humbled by the talent out there.  Happy stampin girls.
Hugs n smiles,

What a cute card! I love all of the details-the satin flower, the 3-D butterfly, the embossing. Just beautiful, as usual!

Pam - this is SA-WWEEEET! Love the Raspberry and white combo - and your mix of elements here -- FAB-U-LOUS. That little satin flower is yummy, and I love how everything is so well balanced and just has a fun feel.

Pam this is beautiful! I LOVE the color!! You know it's funny you mentioned how you notice things after you take the picture. I do that often, kt's like you see it different in the picture. Which really freaks me out sometimes because then I think "oh this is how everyone will see it? ACK.. "

Great job!
