Easter Animals on Parade - JUGS 22

G'mornin' girls. Saturday morning and it's time for another Just Us Girls Challenge. Since it is the 4th Saturday of the month we bring you another template challenge. As you know, the über creative Lauren Meader has just opened her new store My Time Made Easy. She is sponsoring the Just Us Girls challenge again this month. Full details for the this challenge can be found on the Just Us Girls Challenge blog.

Although our participants may choose to use any template (and we would be tickled pink if you chose to use one from My Time Made Easy - did you know there is a free one available here ??) for the challenge, we, as the DT members, were challenged to use the Under Cover template (box) and to combine it with one of the Cute Critters cut files to make the box into an animal.

I couldn't decide which one to make when I was suddenly inspired!!! My mojo jumped up and screamed at me "Make ALL of the critters as your Easter table favor boxes/placecards!!" and so that is just what I did (thanks Mojo!!) I now proudly bring you an Easter Parade of adorable critters brought to you by My Time Made Easy.

The Bouncing Bunny and Cute Lil Chick (can also be the bird) will be available on March 1 for you to purchase BUT the Under Cover template box and the Whooty Owl and Heart Stealer Raccoon cut files are already available on MTME for instant download after purchase!

Here are the individual animals for a closer look.

Whooty Owl for my wise and wonderful husband. There are tags hanging on the sides of each box which come from the fantastic new DIGI sentiment set called "Some Punny Easter".  Because they were digi sentiments I was able to edit each tag and add my family member's name to personalize each tag!! Note the buttons on Mr. Owl's belly? Isn't he handsome!!

This little birdie is MY favor box - note my pearl necklace - after all... this birdie is all dressed in her Easter best! :-) The basket comes from the Some Punny Easter digi set and was colored with copics then cut out so it could be "carried" by mama bird.

For my daughter who lives in Germany - purple is her favorite color. The custom belly options and faces that you get with these files makes them SO customizable. I added some copic accents for whiskers, freckles and ears. Again - the cut basket of eggs.

My other daughter has always loved pink so here's a pretty pink bunny for her - she's holding a sweet little prima flower (practicing for that upcoming wedding bouquet!) Each box is wrapped up with ribbon and tied on top to keep the contents secure. I won't tell you what's in them but let's just say it's something "sweet".

A bright blue bunny for my son - I added little "bow ties" for the boys and used a different belly pattern for each one. He's got his hands folded over his belly just waiting for something good! (hmm maybe this is the bunny after the delicious Easter dinner?!)

This is for my future son-in-law. I LOVE that I could use "Heart Stealer Raccoon" for him - because he did, indeed, steal my daughter's heart (awwwwwwwweeee!). A couple of buttons on his belly - I didn't want traditional gray for this charming critter - so I had some fun with color.

Finally, a "cute little chick" for my son's girlfriend! She's a  petite gal (maybe 5'2? and he's 6'4!) but this chick was scaled down to 80% so it would be smaller and I didn't use the other birdie components - just a couple of primas in her "hair" and a basket of eggs to carry around as well.

I have one more to make for my step-son who is in grad school in Washington but I just couldn't get it done by the deadline.

Finally - here's one of the tags!

So do you have a favorite? Id' love to hear if you do - meanwhile jump over to the Just Us Girls site and check out the challenge - I'd LOVE to see what YOU come up with and I'll be over the moon excited if you decide to try one of the cute critters as well. Be sure you leave us a link so we can ooh and ahhhh over your projects!!

The rest of the DT has some great, great inspiration for you (see my side bar) and please hop over (yes - pun intended) to Iwona Palamountain's blog - she is our Featured Designer for February - she has done a fantastic job for us this month - please leave her a little love as well.

Thanks for stopping by. Have a delightful weekend.
Hugs n smiles.

Love them, love them, love them. Boy did these put my little bunny to shame. They all have such a distinctive mark on them. I love them all. My favorite is the little birdie. I love that you embossed her. I'll have to try that if I dare make another cute little critter! So cute!!! Thanks for being a continuous inspiration.
