Treasure Hunt á la PaperTemptress

The PaperTemptress ...
Now, as a papercrafter,  doesn't that name just make you curious?! Well Patricia, the PaperTemptress, is celebrating her ONE YEAR anniversary and I was invited to help her celebrate by helping YOU have a chance to WIN!

First off, here is a card I made to highlight some of the most beautiful paper that this fabulous company offers.

I worked with the Bronze and Copper metallic papers to bring you this Thanksgiving card. I colored my image very lightly with Koh-I-Noor pencils (no OMS) as I was going for a very soft look and didn't want the image to fight with the glory of this paper. After cutting the main image with an oval nestie, while the ivory CS was still IN the nestie I lightly rubbed some copper metallic paste over the image to soften it and add some richness. I used GKD's ivory cardstock as my base, then I added a layer of the PaperTemptress Bronze metallic followed by a Copper metallic that I had run through my textile CB embosser. This metallic paper embosses SO beautifully!

Using a recent sketch from Mercy's Tuesday Sketch Challenge, I put together the rest of the card, with a simple nestie mat made from the bronze metallic paper followed by my main focal image on ivory. A simple bit of organdy metallic/pearlized ribbon and a few deep brown rhinestones for some "glitz" completed the card.

Here's a close up so hopefully you can see the real beauty of the paper  - it IS tricky to photograph to catch the sheen without the glare :-)

Ok - here's the scoop on the Treasure Hunt.

To celebrate the 1 year anniversary,  Patricia is hosting a Treasure (Blog) Hunt starting on Saturday the 24th, the actual day PaperTemptress originally opened!!  Things are a little different since PaperTemptress's design team members generally post on PT's Community Blog but for the Treasure Hunt you will be visiting the design team members'  blogs so you can spend a little time looking around their creative blogs!!  There are some amazing new design team member (names you are definitely going to recognize) so the hunt is going to start with them so you can get to know them a little better.  There may be more than one blog to visit daily but there will only be one letter each day so be sure to keep track of the letters you need in order to come up with the word that qill enable you to enter the treasure hunt giveaway.  This is where it gets really good!!  For every 25 entries there will be a variety package of the winner’s choice given away so be sure to spread the word so that your chances to win increase!!  The more that enter the more packages given away so be sure to tell everyone!  If only 25 enter  then only 1 package will be given away but if over 30  enter then there will be 2 lucky winners, now if 75 enter then 3 winners and on and on.  All you have to do is start here at the Community Blog, check for the link or links to the featured blog of the day, visit the blog or blogs, write down the letter every day and when the treasure hunt is over then  you will e-mail the PaperTemptress the word that you found during the treasure hunt to enter the fabulous giveaway!  Good luck!!

Thanks for hopping by!
