My Time to Color Challenge MTCC05

Wow it's Saturday already (where does time GO?) and it's another Lauren Meader My Time to Create Challenge. This week is a color challenge - one last "fling" of summer colors before we begin the fall colors. Interpret these colors as you like then show us what you come up with. Be SURE to link your project to Mr. Linky (on Lauren's blog) so Lauren can highlight the TOP FIVE on her blog under the My Time to Shine banner!!!

Mr. Linky

Here is my card. I pondered and pondered these colors then was browsing through a new DP paperpack called Lemonade - I found one floral piece that I loved then I also saw the plaid - I've been wanting to try mixing patterns like the Papertrey Design Team recent challenge and I thought "plaid and flowers?" BUT I decided to be brave and give it a go. I actually like how it turned out, although the colors are not exactly what's in the color map, they are close. I also used my new SU embossing folder - I especially like that this embossing folder only embosses part of my A2 card front... kind a a new look.
For my focal image I wanted to play with the new Everyday Button Bits again. I just love this set! It's SO fun and so unique. When I got to the inside of the card I noticed I had this this floral circle cut out on my table (I changed my mind on the size of the circle and re-cut it) and, being a scrap-happy stamper, figured I could use that gorgeous circle too.

So a little scrap of the plaid and the circle cut out on the inside and I had a nicely done inside that allows just enough room for a quick "I love you" note to go inside. (And of course a little fun on the envelope as well.)

Now it's time to pop on over to the rest of the Design Team - these girls are amazing (so I listed them in alpha order other than Lauren!) and I'm sure you will be inspired by what they have in store for you.

I love your card! Of course, everyday button bits is wonderful but the dry embossing around the edge is very beautiful :) The inside of you card is equally as stunning.
Thanks so much for your kind and encouraging comments! It is so very much appreciated :)

Great card Pam! I read my post again and hopefully I didn't sound bad.....it's not that I don't like these colors, but I found them very difficult for me to put together. Love how you added the circle and the dew drops!
