Vintage Picnic

Wow I finally had a chance to ink up my new Vintage Picnic set from PaperTrey Ink and BOY oh BOY do I love it!!! (Even more than I thought I would.)

I made up a few quick cards - following the same general layout but with different baskets etc. Thought I would share a couple with you - I used the embossing with Nesties technique - I tried a single nestie emboss first on the tulip card and then colored my images with Copics. That took the most time for me since there was a fair amount of detail work to do on the basket but they all turned out pretty cute I thought. I read one tip from someone at PTI that said to stamp the TOPPER first THEN stamp the basket - it was easier to line up and I would agree with that completely.

I used the same embossing technique but with TWO nesties on the wishing you well card. I forgot to "ground" my basket on this one when I colored it - some folks like to ground their images - others don't. I try to do it when I remember to ;-)

I will be reaching for this set over and over since the versatility and combinations are so varied.

There are some small images included in the set also - I used one for the inside on the Happy Harvest card I made and changed this one up by using the Labels 1 nestie.

Thanks for looking - hope you enjoy.

i recently got this stamp set from pti, but haven't had a chance to ink it up. i love how you used the embossing to highlight the stamped image. also, it's interesting to add the coordinating smaller stamped image inside the card. nice job and tfs.
