Organization of Papertrey Images and Tip Sheets

I thought I'd take a short break from cards and share something I've done with my Papertrey Stamps. There are so many awesome sentiments, "created by", and other cool images in PTI's stamp sets that can be interchanged but I have a hard time remembering which set has which sentiment or image etc. Also - each new stamp set is released with a TIP SHEET that is just awesome. I made myself a simple 3 ring binder (well 2 actually because I needed a whole 2nd binder for My Timeless Templates.) I made my own custom PTI cheat sheets to help me. I print up the stamp set image and then print off the "tip sheet". Those two pages go back to back into a clear page protector. These are all filed in alphabetical order in the binder and super easy to flip through to remind me of what's in the sets. It's also easy to add when I buy new sets! :-) The brown CD holder you see in the picture sits on my table holds my PTI stamp sets - right at my fingertips. (IKEA $5) Also - because the pages are in clear sheet protectors, I can remove the page from the binder (for the set I'm working with) if I need reminders about the various tips or tricks and the pages don't get ink or glue or glitter on them because they are protected. :-)

This same binder also houses a quick look sheet of the PTI paper, ribbon and ink colors. The binder is ready at hand right above my work space and is more often open on my side table than not. It really helps me make good use of all the amazing sentiments we have in our PTI stamps. It's a great resource for me and maybe would be something my fellow PTI stampers would find helpful as well.

I'm working on a similar system for my Gina K Designs stamp sets and, someday for my Stampin Up sets also.

Thanks for stopping by. {{{Hugs}}} n Smiles :-)

Great system!!! I am currently trying to decrease the mess that's called my office. This would be a nice idea!!!

Great ideas!! I have been thinking of doing it differently- separating all of the printed images, then haveing categories (at least for sentiment) like birthday, Baby, etc... then I could easily see which one fit and where it is! I may try yours first, though!!

I have printed them off but never put it into a binder. I am really working on organization at my house right now, so this was perfect!

It's a good life!

Gosh! You need to come to my house and help me get organized.. I live in a continual state of what I like to call "creative chaos" - LOL.. Thanks for the well wishes and for visiting my blog today. You can find the tutorial for the flower pot pocket card on Splitcoast Stampers, here: http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=430471

They are really quite fun and easy to make!
All the best,
Beverly

I use the same organizational skills as you... Have ever since my love of PTI kicked in. One question....Do you know where I can find a pic of the 1st anniversary set? I have it, but can't find a picture to add to my binder...TIA

Love love love it... I started this long ago when I had 12 sets but it needs some serious updating as I probably have over 30 sets now!

I printed the stamp set images and have them laying on my desk.I grab the stack and leaf through them but I'm going to do what you did and put them in a binder. Great work!
