Whew - I've been so busy stamping getting ready for Administrative Assistant week that I have not been posting. I can't even post everything for you today since I'm saving a couple of projects for the upcoming Papertrey Blog Hop on the 25th. :-) **wink**
Meanwhile - these little gifts came about as part of Lauren Meader's template challenge. I own most of the templates but have only used them for card sets so far. The challenge was to use any Timeless Template and create a package that is inspired by the label of any bath product. When I saw this challenge I was inspired with an idea for the challenge but even better, inspired with an idea for some small gifts for the gals at the office. I don't have a full time dedicated assistant I can call "my own" but I have several gals who do different projects for me. I like to recognize each of them for their efforts because they truly DO make my job more manageable.
SO - at the top - you'll see the three Bath & Body Works products that provided me with inspiration. I was mostly inspired by the colors in the labels, so I decided to make a gift purse to package each gift in. As Lauren says - it's all about the presentation, and special packaging can make even a small gift feel even more special. :-) (That is what makes Timeless Templates SO fabulous.)
Next you'll see each of the three gift purses I made, inspired by the colors in the label of the lotions I got for each gal. These were super simple to make - since I can't print on PTI cardstock with my printer I just have a master template I trace then cut. I used Basic Grey's magnets to hold the "purse flap" closed.
For the Cherry Blossom I used Gina K's Rich and Shabby digital paper, for Moonlit Shadow I used PTI Spring Rain, Ripe Avocado and Bitty Dot Plum Pudding and for the Sensual Amber I used PTI Summer Sunrise with the matching Bitty Dot paper. A few floral embellishments, a simple tag and some crinkly paper inside to tuck the lotion in and I had my gifts done.
That's all for now - THANKS Lauren for the challenge and, even more importantly, for the encouragement. This was fun and will be great gifts for my gals. Hugs n Smiles.
